Topic:
We will talk about how the peculiarities of our life and difficult events influence the choice of many components of destiny. Complex life experience determines the choice of profession, the pattern of love and friendship relationships, the peculiarities of parental role. We will also talk about the possibility/futility of influencing this predetermination. Such phenomena as “self-destructive behavior”, “acting out”, “learned helplessness”, “hostile attitude to self/identification with the abuser” will be considered.

Meeting duration: 3.5 hours, from 18:00 to 21:30 (Kyiv time).

Speakers’ dialog: 1 hour.
Question on the topic: 15 minutes.

Dialogues Online is a space for collaborative reflection on what matters most in the face of the ongoing crisis. Dialogues Online is a continuation of the “Dialogues in Toulouse” held in May 2023 as part of a school for Gestalt therapists for intercultural exchanges of experience.
